2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give website owners information about how their site is being used.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, account authentication, and session management. You cannot opt out of these cookies.

Guests who only RSVP to an event are never signed in and get no authentication cookie; the event password cookie is set only when a guest enters a host's page password. The two thank-you card cookies are set only on a host's thank-you card, and the two party game cookies only when you open or join a game. None is readable by scripts on the page, and none holds a name or email. The postcard cookie is set only for a postcard ordered as a guest, and again when you open that order from its emailed link. Payments are taken on Stripe's own checkout page, where Stripe sets its fraud-prevention cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) under its own domain.
3.2 Preferences Kept in Your Browser
We do not use cookies for preferences. Instead, a few settings are kept in your browser's local storage, session storage or IndexedDB. They stay on your device, are not sent to us with each request, and can be cleared from your browser settings at any time.

3.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve our Service.

We also count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page address with campaign tags only, and nothing on sign-in or personal links.
3.4 Marketing Cookies
We use Google Ads to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads on third-party sites. These cookies may track conversions and audience membership. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
