Ticketing platforms compared: fees, payouts and refunds

The fee is only part of it. Check whether card processing is on top, when the money reaches you, and what happens to the fee on a refund. Our fee is 6% + 50¢ a ticket with card processing included, which is not the lowest at every price: the table works it out at four prices, and we're mid-table.

Facts read from each vendor's own pages on November 1, 2026. RSVPlinks is one of the products compared.

Posh9$1.99$3.49$5.99$10.99From Posh's own blog; its pricing page showed no figures

Our arithmetic from each platform's published rates for a one-ticket order, with Stripe's standard US 2.9% + 30¢ where a platform bills card processing separately. It leaves out tax, currency conversion, monthly plan costs and any custom pricing, and passing a fee to the buyer changes the base slightly. Partiful doesn't publish a rate, so it isn't here.

A cross means the vendor says it doesn't offer it, or for RSVPlinks that we don't. “Not found” means we looked through its public pricing and help pages and saw nothing either way. It may still exist. A number links to the source.

Where RSVPlinks does well

  • One fee that includes card processing: 6% + 50¢, with no second bill from Stripe.
  • Your ticket page can be your invitation or a full website, not a listing on someone else's marketplace.
  • Whole tables with a seat each on your seating chart, sponsorships and paid extras.
  • Approve buyers first, and show the address only to those who bought.
  • Refunds from your dashboard, including Refund all if an event is canceled.

Where RSVPlinks falls short

  • Tickets are new here, with far less history than platforms that have sold for years.
  • Card payments pay out to US bank accounts, in US dollars only.
  • Buyers can't pick a seat on a map: you sell tickets or whole tables, and seat people yourself.
  • Our fee is never refunded, on any path.
  • A first-time seller's money waits until 3 days after the event.
  • No Apple or Google Wallet passes: tickets are a QR in the email, on the web and in a PDF.
  • No marketplace: nobody finds your event by browsing RSVPlinks, so you bring your own guests.

Questions

What is the cheapest way to sell event tickets?
If you're a nonprofit, Zeffy charges the organization nothing. Otherwise it depends on price and volume. At $25 a ticket, by published rates, Luma Plus comes to $1.03 plus its $59 monthly plan, Tito $1.78, Ticket Tailor $1.88 and RSVPlinks $2.00, while Luma's free plan is $2.28 and Eventbrite $3.44. RSVPlinks ranks number 5 of 11 at that price.
How much does Eventbrite charge per ticket?
Eventbrite's pricing page lists 3.7% + $1.79 per paid ticket, plus 2.9% payment processing per order, paid by buyers by default. On a $25 ticket that comes to about $3.44. Free events carry no fee.
Does Partiful charge a fee on tickets?
Yes, on paid tickets. Partiful's help center says fees depend on event size and ticket price and are shown to the host during setup, so we can't work out a figure for it. It says free tickets have no fees.
Do you get the ticket fee back on a refund?
Usually not. Luma, Ticket Tailor and Tito all say their fee stays when you refund. Partiful refunds its fee if the event is cancelled. Humanitix keeps a passed-on fee by default. RSVPlinks never refunds its fee, on any path.
