Online invitation sites compared

Most invitation sites charge in one of four ways: ads, a subscription, a price per guest, or a price per event. That decides more than the designs do, so the first rows below say how each one charges and what your guests see.

Facts read from each vendor's own pages on November 1, 2026. RSVPlinks is one of the products compared.

A cross means the vendor says it doesn't offer it, or for RSVPlinks that we don't. “Not found” means we looked through its public pricing and help pages and saw nothing either way. It may still exist. A number links to the source.

Where RSVPlinks does well

  • No ads for guests on any plan, and every design free.
  • Guests give a name, with no account, app or phone number unless you ask for one.
  • The price depends on replies, not on how many invitations you send.
  • Your invite can grow into a website, take registrations or sell tickets.
  • Postcards with each guest's name, mailed for you.

Where RSVPlinks falls short

  • The free plan stops at 20 replies per event and 5 events, a much lower limit than several free plans below.
  • No text messages: reminders and blasts go by email, so you can't reach a guest by SMS from here.
  • No native phone app: hosts and guests use the browser, and the dashboard can be added to a home screen.
  • No licensed character designs, and no social feed for guests.

Questions

Which online invitation site has no ads?
Paperless Post and Greenvelope both say they show guests no ads, and RSVPlinks shows none on any plan. Evite's free invitations carry ads unless you buy Premium, and Punchbowl's do unless the host has Platinum or Business.
Which invitation site doesn't need guests to sign up?
Evite, Punchbowl, Greenvelope, Apple Invites and RSVPlinks all let a guest reply with no account. Partiful asks guests to verify a phone number by text.
Are online invitations free?
Often, within a limit. Evite is free up to 750 guests with ads. Partiful's core is free. Paperless Post's first 50 Flyer invites are free. RSVPlinks is free for 20 replies per event with no ads. Punchbowl offers a 7-day trial, and Apple Invites needs iCloud+ to host.
