Sell gala and school fundraiser tickets from one page

For school auctions, PTA and booster nights, charity dinners and benefit galas. Sell single seats, whole tables and sponsorships, add a donation at checkout, and scan everyone in at the door.

Whole tables

Sell a table of 8 or 10 at one price, up to $5000. Each seat gets its own ticket, so a table buyer can send them on to guests.

Sponsorship packages

A sponsor pays and types their name and link. It shows on your page once you approve it, and you add the logo.

A donation at checkout

Add set amounts like $25 or $100 as extras, bought alongside a ticket. Buyers can't type their own amount.

Seat table buyers

With Table Management ($6 on a paid plan), put each table's buyers on your seating chart in one step.

A ticket for every person

Each person gets a QR code and a door code, and several phones can scan at once with no app.

A set to start from

Pick the Gala or School fundraiser set and your seats, tables, sponsors and donation are added, ready to reprice.

What each sale costs

The same fee applies to every paid item, whoever pays it. Worked out with the function checkout uses.

ItemYour priceOur feeBuyer pays the fee: they payYou cover it: you receive
Single seat$150$9.50$159.50$140.50
Table of 10$1,350$81.50$1,431.50$1,268.50
Gold sponsor$5,000$300.50$5,300.50$4,699.50
$50 donation$50$3.50$53.50$46.50

The percentage adds up on a large sponsorship, so some committees take those by check.

How that compares

RSVPlinks sits mid-table, and some tools here cost less. Zeffy costs nothing for registered nonprofits. Read each note: a low rate can come with a monthly price or card processing billed on top. The full breakdown is in our ticketing platform comparison.

Our arithmetic from each platform's published rates for a one-ticket order, with Stripe's standard US 2.9% + 30¢ where a platform bills card processing separately. It leaves out tax, currency conversion, monthly plan costs and any custom pricing, and passing a fee to the buyer changes the base slightly. Partiful doesn't publish a rate, so it isn't here.

How it works

  1. 01Start from a gala or school fundraiser template, then save your event.
  2. 02Set up card payments with Stripe. The money goes to your organization's account, not ours.
  3. 03In the Tickets tab, choose the Gala or School fundraiser set, and change the prices and how many you have.
  4. 04Share one link. Approve sponsors as they come in, and scan tickets at the door.

Free to set up. 6% + 50¢ per paid item, nothing on free tickets.

Questions

What does it cost?

Nothing to set up and no monthly fee. Each paid ticket, table, sponsorship or extra costs 6% + 50¢, the platform and card processing fee, with card processing included. You choose whether the buyer pays it or you cover it.

Is this cheaper than Zeffy?

No. Zeffy says it charges nonprofits no platform or card fee, and asks payers for an optional tip. If you're a registered nonprofit and low fees come first, start there. RSVPlinks suits a host Zeffy can't take, such as a parent group with no EIN of its own, or one that wants the event page, seating chart and door scanner in one place.

Do we need to be a nonprofit?

No. You need a Stripe account, which holds your identity and bank details. A school, PTA, booster club or individual can sell here, and RSVPlinks doesn't check charity status.

Are tickets and donations tax deductible?

That's between your organization and its buyers. RSVPlinks doesn't issue tax receipts. Buyers get a payment receipt, and any acknowledgment letter comes from you.

When do we get the money?

Card payments are paid out to your bank every Monday once your balance reaches $25; a smaller balance goes out after 30 days with no new payment. In a month where the fees on your card payments don't cover Stripe's payout costs, the difference (about $3.50 at most) comes out of the payout. "Pay out now" sends your balance any time for $1, from $5. Money from your first ticketed event pays out 3 days after the event. Ticket and RSVP Fee money from a new seller pays out 3 days after the event, until they have sold $250 across 5 payments on finished events.

Can a table buyer name their guests?

Yes. The buyer's ticket link lets them name each seat and send each guest their own ticket. Every seat scans separately at the door.

What if the event is cancelled?

RSVPlinks' platform and card processing fee is never refunded. If the guest paid the fee, a refund gives them everything but the fee. If you covered the fee, they get back all they paid and the fee comes out of your balance. A refund goes through only when your balance covers it. Refund all closes sales and refunds orders oldest first, as far as your balance covers, and emails each buyer.

What can't it do?

There's no silent or mobile auction, bidding, paddle raise tracking or raffle tool, so run those on paper or with an auction tool. Donations are set amounts bought with a ticket, not a standalone donation page. Charges are in US dollars.
