Banquet tickets with free seats for the team and paid seats for family

For end-of-season sports banquets, booster club dinners, Cub Scout Blue & Gold banquets, senior banquets and awards nights. Give every athlete or Scout a free seat, sell family seats and tables, ask for meal choices, and sell program ads to local businesses.

Free seats for the team

A free ticket for each player or Scout sits beside paid family seats. Free tickets need no Stripe account.

Family tables

Sell a table of eight at one price, up to $5000. With Table Management ($6 on a paid plan), seat each table's buyers on your chart in one step.

Meal choices

Ask each buyer for chicken, pasta or vegetarian, and export the list for the caterer: 1 question on a free event, up to 10 on a paid plan.

Program ads

Sell program ads to local businesses as sponsorships, each with a seat. A business's name and link show on your page once you approve it.

Badges and table signs

Print name badges, table signs and a check-in sheet in your event's colors from the print studio.

A free banquet works too

No seats to sell? Use Register instead: one button, a meal question and a head count. Free for up to 20 registrations per event. Paid plans from $7 per event, one time, up to 1,000.

What each sale costs

The fee applies only to what's paid, whoever pays it. Free player seats cost nothing. Worked out with the function checkout uses.

ItemYour priceOur feeBuyer pays the fee: they payYou cover it: you receive
Family seat$25$2$27$23
Family table of 8$180$11.30$191.30$168.70
Program ad$100$6.50$106.50$93.50
Keepsake patch$4$0.74$4.74$3.26

A table carries one fixed fee where eight seats carry eight, so families buying together pay less.

How that compares

RSVPlinks sits mid-table, and some tools here cost less. Zeffy costs nothing for registered nonprofits. Read each note: a low rate can come with a monthly price or card processing billed on top. The full breakdown is in our ticketing platform comparison.

The fee on one ticket at four prices, worked out from each platform's published rates.

Posh9$1.99$3.49$5.99$10.99From Posh's own blog; its pricing page showed no figures

Our arithmetic from each platform's published rates for a one-ticket order, with Stripe's standard US 2.9% + 30¢ where a platform bills card processing separately. It leaves out tax, currency conversion, monthly plan costs and any custom pricing, and passing a fee to the buyer changes the base slightly. Partiful doesn't publish a rate, so it isn't here.

How it works

  1. 01Start from a banquet template, then save your event.
  2. 02Set up card payments with Stripe so families can pay by card. Free seats need no account.
  3. 03In the Tickets tab, add a free player seat, a family seat, a table and a program ad, then add your meal question.
  4. 04Share the link with the team. Print badges and table signs, and check families in at the door.

Free seats cost nothing. 6% + 50¢ per paid seat, table or ad.

Questions

Is it free?

A banquet with only free seats costs nothing. Free for up to 20 registrations per event. Paid plans from $7 per event, one time, up to 1,000. Paid seats cost 6% + 50¢ each and don't count against the plan.

Can players get in free while families pay?

Yes. Add a free ticket for players beside a paid family seat, and set how many of each you have. Anyone with the link can pick the free ticket, so set its count to your roster and check names at the door.

How do program ads work?

Add a sponsorship for each ad size, with a seat at the dinner. A business pays, types its name and link, and shows on your page once you approve it. Collect the ad artwork by email and lay out the printed program yourself.

Can we print name badges?

Yes. The print studio makes name badges, table signs, guest labels and a check-in sheet in your event's colors, with each guest's table if you use Table Management. It doesn't make a program booklet.

Does it work for a Blue & Gold banquet?

Yes. The Blue & Gold template gives Scouts a free ticket and sells family seats and a keepsake patch. RSVPlinks isn't affiliated with any scouting organization, and how a pack handles money is up to its committee.

When do we get the money?

Card payments are paid out to your bank every Monday once your balance reaches $25; a smaller balance goes out after 30 days with no new payment. In a month where the fees on your card payments don't cover Stripe's payout costs, the difference (about $3.50 at most) comes out of the payout. "Pay out now" sends your balance any time for $1, from $5. Money from your first ticketed event pays out 3 days after the event. Ticket and RSVP Fee money from a new seller pays out 3 days after the event, until they have sold $250 across 5 payments on finished events.

What can't it do?

It can't check a free ticket against your roster, so anyone with the link can take one: set the count and check at the door. There's no program booklet designer, no awards list or certificate printing, and no auction tool. Charges are in US dollars.
